At Morgan’s Academy of Dance we believe every dancer should have the opportunity not only to learn, but to truly shine on stage. Being part of our vibrant competition teams offers a fantastic way to challenge yourself, build confidence, and showcase the dedication you’ve invested in your dancing.

Whether you aspire to perform under the spotlight, measure your progress alongside others, or simply experience the excitement of competing, our teams welcome everyone.

 


Competition Requirements

To take part in the exciting world of competitions at Morgan’s Academy of Dance, dancers must have been enrolled at Morgan’s Academy for a minimum of six months. This ensures our teachers can be confident that you’ve developed a solid technical foundation and have embraced the school’s culture, demonstrating both the ability and dedication needed for competition. 

Please refer to our Morgan’s Academy of Dance Competition handbook for all class requirements. 

Regular attendance is essential—not just for learning choreography, but for building the stamina, strength, and confidence that competition demands. 

Dedication to practising at home is just as important. Competitions provide a chance to showcase the hard work you’ve invested in your classes, and those who make the greatest progress are often the dancers who spend time outside the studio refining their routines.

Finally, getting ready for competitions also requires clear communication with your teacher Miss Jade. This involves organising private lessons to learn your solo, extra rehearsals if required and keeping up to date with important deadlines for entries and running orders. Each stage of the process is carefully planned to maximise your success and ensure you feel confident and fully prepared for the big day.

 

Competition Team Extra Rehearsals

 Monday 26th October 

Unity Small Team – 6pm until 8pm 


 Tuesday 27th October 

Collective Small Team – 6pm until 8pm 


 Thursday 29th October 

Unity Small Team – 11am until 2pm 

Collective Small Team – 3pm until 6pm 

£16 per student, per class.

Unity Large Team – 10am until 11:30am 

Unity Small Team – 11:45am until 1:30pm 

Collective Large Team – 2pm until 4pm 

Collective Small Team – 4:15pm until 6:30pm
