Private Lesson Policy

At Morgan’s Academy of Dance, we are committed to providing a professional, safe and consistent learning environment for all students. To ensure fairness and maintain the highest standards across the academy, the following private lesson policy applies.

 

 Booking Private Lessons

  • All private lessons must be arranged directly through Morgan’s Academy of Dance.
  • Private lessons will only take place at Morgan’s Academy of Dance or at another venue authorised by the academy.
  • Private lessons are subject to teacher availability and studio availability.

 

 Lessons Outside the Academy

  • Students currently enrolled at Morgan’s Academy of Dance are not permitted to arrange private lessons with Morgan’s Academy of Dance teachers outside of the academy or at private addresses.
  • All tuition must be organised and delivered through Morgan’s Academy of Dance to ensure safeguarding, insurance and professional standards are maintained.

 

 Safeguarding

  • All private lessons must comply with the academy’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Lessons will only take place in approved venues where appropriate safeguarding measures are in place.

 

 Payments

  • All payments for private lessons must be made directly to Morgan’s Academy of Dance.
  • Teachers must not accept direct payment from parents or students for lessons involving academy students.

 

 Cancellations

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a private lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full unless there are exceptional circumstances.

 

 Teacher Conduct

  • Teachers employed or contracted by Morgan’s Academy of Dance must not solicit or arrange private tuition with academy students outside of the organisation.
  • Any requests for additional tuition must be referred directly to Morgan’s Academy of Dance for booking.

 

 Purpose of this Policy

This policy is in place to:

  • Protect the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.
  • Ensure all teaching is fully insured and professionally managed.
  • Maintain consistency in the quality of tuition provided.
  • Protect the professional relationship between the academy, its teachers and families.
  • Ensure fairness for all staff and students.

 

By enrolling with Morgan’s Academy of Dance, parents, students and staff agree to abide by this policy.

Morgan’s Academy of Dance reserves the right to amend this policy where necessary to ensure the continued safety, professionalism and smooth running of the academy.
